We set no cookies of our own. The beehiiv newsletter signup form, loaded only when a signup is shown, can set the cookies listed below. We use local storage and session storage, which are browser storage features separate from cookies, to provide features and remember choices you request. We use no analytics tools, ads or pixels. Fonts are self-hosted. Google receives hosting and Firestore reaction requests, and beehiiv receives signup form requests, including IP addresses, as described in our Privacy policy.

Necessary storage is always available for these requested features. Analytics and marketing are off by default. No ads or analytics tools are active today. Marketing will map to personalised ads when advertising is enabled. Optional tools will have to respect your stored choices and the consent version.
Advertising category
Google AdSense is planned and not active yet. The Marketing toggle will grant or deny personalised advertising and Google's ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation consent signals. Analytics remains a separate choice. Before any decision, no Google advertising script loads. After a decision, enabled ads may request non-personalised advertising when Marketing is rejected, with ad storage and personalisation signals still denied. Rejecting Marketing does not grant permission to set advertising cookies.
Google and third-party vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on earlier visits to this and other sites. Google's advertising cookies allow it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. A Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB TCF is required before serving ads to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. This site's banner is not certified. How to change your choice
You can use the Cookie settings control above or in the footer at any time without reloading. Choose Accept all, Reject all, or save individual settings. The three banner buttons have equal prominence. Closing settings without saving leaves your existing decision unchanged. Newsletter consent is given only by submitting the signup form; it is not granted by accepting cookie categories.
How to clear storage
Use your browser's settings for site data or storage, select this site's address, and clear its local and session storage. This removes your preferences and may cause the consent banner or newsletter prompt to return. It does not unsubscribe you, delete a newsletter signup held by beehiiv or reverse aggregate reaction counts. To withdraw newsletter consent, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or contact [Contact email].
Without JavaScript
No consent banner is needed without JavaScript because no non-essential tools run. The scripts also do not write preferences or make reaction or newsletter requests. The legal pages and normal reading remain available. Without JavaScript the signup form does not load; a link to the newsletter page on beehiiv is shown instead.
